There are nine boat launches around the lake. The closest one to Calypso Cove Marina is in the Clearbay Area. The next closest is east to the South Dam Area.
There are two fishing docks and one fishing pier on Thunderbird Lake. Clearbay behind the Nature Center and Little Axe next to the boat ramp both have new floating covered fishing docks. Fisherman’s Point has a concrete fishing pier.

Camping and day shelters
There are nine developed camping areas around Thunderbird Lake with hundreds of campsites. Some have full hook-ups, other are primitive campsites. Camping fees range from $12.00 to $28.00 per night. Shelters are available to rent for group events. RV dumps are available for free at the Clearbay Area inside Crow’s Corral and at Indian Point camping area.
